By the time 2017 rolled around, a couple years had passed since my photo-a-day endeavor, and I was craving another project to anchor my art. From that spawned Within You and Without You, an expansion of a dazzling, abstract motif I had already used a couple of times in previous works. Resembling souls, fairies, or a manifestation of one’s own thoughts, these flowy light trails gave me plenty of freedom to explore different concepts like fate and emotions, and also to put more focus on the form and expressions of the figure itself.
