A Photo Each Day pt. I

In April 2014, I spontaneously decided to embark on a β€œ365 Challenge”, creating a photo a day for a full year to help me quickly boost my technical experience. I also sold my first print ever in 2014!

A Photo Each Day pt. II

I completed the final stretch of my 365 Challenge in spring 2015 and had a solo exhibition of all 365 images in NYC. At the end of this project, I wondered what would come next for me…

2016

Miami Influence

2016 was a pivotal for both my art and my life in general. I took a leap and moved down to Miami from NYC in order to develop my other business, which ended up being the perfect sandbox for creating new art.

Within You and Without You

By the time 2017 rolled around, a couple years had passed since my photo-a-day endeavor, and I was craving another project to anchor my art. From that spawned Within You and Without You, an expansion of a dazzling, abstract motif I had already used a couple of times in previous works.

2018

Traces

While I still enjoyed the work I was making, by around 2018 I started to feel restless with art and this body of work I had been focusing on for the past year. I went from making 365 photos back in 2014/15, to essentially only making six photos in 2018.

2019

Projections

If 2018 felt like a turning point for my art, 2019 was very much a departure from my typical style. I didn’t have much time for creating complex composite images because of Superfine, so I tried out a new process: designing vector backgrounds to project directly onto models, and creating an otherworldly image with just one photo.

Hidden Gems

After several years of feeling like I had been spinning my wheels with my art-making, I finally started to feel like the artist I envisioned myself being. Most of the art you see in my main collections has been created since 2020, but these hidden gems are some images I still love from the last few years (but are just slight departures from my current focus).
